The track opened in 1998, originally under the name Arroyo Seco Motorplex.
In 2003, it was purchased by Double R & T Corporation — owned by Roger Heemsbergen. Under the new ownership the facility opened up to more testing, motorcycle track-days, and more affordable rentals.
The property is approx 137 acres, includes the road-course, drag strip, motocross-infield, support buildings (office, lounge, concessions), pit & paddock, etc.
The drag strip uses (or included) a timing system that was reportedly updated in 2023.
